Construction
Construction | Fibre de Verre |

Coque | A déplacement |
Finition | Gelcoat finition |
Hand-laid, 100% solid fiberglass construction used in the hull. Vinylester resins are used in first two laminates. Fiberglass is laid up in one shift as per military specifications, which eliminates secondary bonds. Topsides are hand-laid composed of end-grain balsa sandwich core in horizontal surfaces for heat insulation and closed cell PVC sandwich core in vertical surfaces for high strength.
Exterior gel coat finish is impact resistant Isothalic with a nominal 25-mil thickness. All non-skid surfaces are molded into the deck. Water resistant polyurethane sealants are used at all joints and fittings. Approximately 20% or more of the displacement is ballast encapsulated and sealed in the keel. Marine-grade plywood used for all structural construction. Fire resistant US Coast Guard approved hose is used for fuel and steering connections with re-usable flare fittings.
Engine stringers are continuous with separate heavy duty engine mounts. The hull is separated into three (3) water tight compartments with separate bilge pumps in sumps to maintain a dry bilge. The bow contains a water tight collision bulkhead.
Shore power connection is marine grade, shielded wiring cables, all of which meets ABYC standards. High pressure lines are Aeroquip.
Companionway door to salon, both pilothouse side deck access doors and windows all are aluminum and aluminum frames except stainless opening ports in forward berthing cabin.
Manufactured in Southern California.

Commentaires du Broker
The manufacturer's original literature on this little ship states that she has an approximate cruising range of 1400 nautical miles, yet the longest trip she has ever made has been Seattle to Olympia. This explains the nearly pristine condition of this Willard 30 Pilothouse Trawler. Her exterior and interior show no indications of wear. All of the hardwood inside and dark blue leather pilothouse seats are unworn. The seller reports the anchor has never been dropped so even the anchor chain is unstained.
This is a very robustly-built and lovely double ended trawler that just sips fuel with her 50HP Yanmar. Willard 30s have a long and acclaimed history of outsized cruising adventures. This clean example was second to the last one built in 2001 and sold new in 2003 in Seattle. Willard Marine went on to focus their capabilities on commercial vessels.
This is a rare opportunity to own one of these desirable little gems in outstanding condition.
