This classic Chris Craft is built using mahogany and silicon bronze wood screws in the manner of other high quality boats from this company.

Construction is hard chine, batten seam construction above the chine and double planking below. Framing is white oak with 1" x 3" main frames and 1" x 1 1/4" intermediate frames. Floor timbers are 1 1/2" x 3" white oak. Chine logs are 3" x 2 3/4" white oak. The keel is white oak, 2" x 4" in dimension with 3/8" bronze keel bolts. Longitudinal framing is 1 3/4" fir. The cabin sides are beautiful varnished mahogany planks. Cabin tops are marine plywood and covered by traditional painted canvas or fiberglass overlay. The decking includes: fir planking over plywood in the cockpit; varnished mahogany side decking; and fiberglass over plywood on the foredeck.

Fuel tanks are Monel alloy.
Water tank is Monel alloy.
Holding tank is polyethylene.

The quality of materials used by skilled craftsmen is one of the reasons these Chris Craft vessels are long lived. This boat has been kept in a boathouse in fresh water which has protected the hull and exterior substantially over the years.

Waterline Boats / Boatshed does not independently verify capacities and measures, which are reported from seller-provided information and/or literature.

Commentaires du Broker

At this price I do not expect this boat to be on the market very long. Here is a chance to own a very versatile craft that lends itself to a variety of uses.

The style of the era shows in the classic lines of this motoryacht. High quality woods, fasteners, and materials have ensured the long life of this boat. The layout is great for entertaining friends aboard with the bright large salon, simple yet well equipped galley, and pleasant cockpit aft. It provides a nice flow between private spaces throughout the boat.

The updated engine shows few hours of use and is in excellent condition. This single engine design allows for extensive space below deck for maintenance, access to equipment, and storage compared to twin engine versions of the model. Fuel economy, of course, is improved as well. This is a cruising boat that can operate on a plane if desired, but performs most economically below 10 knots.

The most recent surveyor commented: "It has received a much higher than average level of care and maintenance. Cabinetry and joinerwork updates were skillfully done... and showed numerous updates that did not compromise the vessel’s original design and character."

The current owner and his wife lived aboard for several years. It is suitable for long distance local cruising or spontaneous tours around the lake... and all of the activities of the Classic Yacht Association. It has been reported that this boat was delivered new to Seattle and has been in the area in fresh water all of its life. Here is a chance to own a working piece of legendary history from the prestigious builder, Chris Craft.

I urge the reader to not hesitate to schedule a showing.
