The Swan 40 is a beautiful classic and understandably a sought after bluewater cruising yacht. These boats rarely become available, have a reputation for ease of handling and were built to last. The build quality gives the impression of a generously laid up hull, along with traditional woodwork throughout the interior. The cockpit is spacious and deep and moving forward is effortless to access the wide side decks and foredeck. Down below there are eight berths, two of which can be found in the separate aft cabins. The galley is well positioned and designed for preparing meals both at sea and when in harbour. Designed to manage long distance cruising in comfort, with good headroom, accommodation space, sailing performance, these boats offer a variety of sailing opportunities, including cruising and as a liveaboard.
This version has not been sailed for a number of years and has therefore been listed and priced as a project, to reflect some of the key tasks that may need to be undertaken. For anybody looking for a capable, blue water cruiser, with a good reputation, attractive lines and a potential investment, this boat is well worth considering.
