Broker's Comments
UPDATE: Huge price reduction Nov 2024. The owners circumstances have changed and the boat needs to be sold due to health reasons! July 2023 - A full survey was carried out and any major recommendations were completed. Reduced from 2.6 million Euros as a completed project.
Here is what the owners tells us:
Engines & Generators
• The vessel has been largely rewired, with the generators and cabling fully commissioned.
• As the yacht has not been sailed in recent years, the generators have only 103 hours of use.
• The main engines — two MAN D 2866 LXE 6-cylinder turbocharged diesel engines, new in 2002 — have run for just 93 hours.
• The vessel is also equipped with a hydraulic bow thruster set in a tunnel.
Propulsion
• Fitted with two 3” stainless steel shafts carrying contra-rotating bronze 5-bladed propellers.
• Shafts supported by water-lubricated cutlass bearings in bronze A-brackets, all secure and in satisfactory condition.
Interior:
• Raymarine Electronics incl. Raymarine GlassBridge units and new wirings).
Hull & External Condition
• The hull and superstructure refit is complete, including new 17mm teak decks (1992).
• Re-planking has taken place
• The hull was last antifouled in 2023.
• The topsides and superstructure are primed and ready, requiring only paint finishing.
• Sea cocks were replaced with stainless steel ball valves.
The accommodation refit was in progress when the previous owner’s funds ran out several years ago. Some of the earlier work had suffered from water ingress, but all of this has since been rectified by the current owners. During the refit, the galley (a fully equipped professional galley) was relocated, and the cabin layout revised — though importantly, no structural changes were made. Sleeps 10 guests in 5 cabins, with additional crew accommodation.
This beautiful classic wooden gentleman’s yacht has been undergoing an extensive renovation to the highest standard. Due to personal circumstances, however, the current owners now wish to sell the vessel in an unfinished but structurally sound condition.
Originally built in 1967, the yacht has undergone major refits in 1992, 1998, and again from 2002 onwards. Much of the hull has been replaced, and extensive professional woodwork has been completed throughout.
Structurally, the yacht has been renovated to a very high professional standard. She is now a blank canvas with updated mechanics and electronics, ready for interior completion and finishing touches to paintwork.
This unique vessel could be transformed into a luxury gentleman’s yacht, a boutique charter vessel, a floating hotel, or even a fine-dining restaurant. With shipbuilders still onsite, expertise is available to continue or adapt the project.
A rare opportunity — not to be missed.
