The engine is about 10 years old and has not had a great deal of use since new. It has been regularly serviced and is awaiting a pre season service at the time of listing.
This is a big plus for a boat of this age as engine replacement is often a large expense to be considered when buying an old boat with an original engine.
Although not installed at the time of photographing her, there are 2 batteries.

Commentaires du Broker
The Angus Primrose designed Moody 33 has been described as revolutionary for its time, leading the way in centre cockpit designed yachts. It was the first in a long line of production yachts jointly developed by A.H Moody & Son Ltd and the highly regarded Marine Projects (Plymouth) Ltd, now of course known as Princess Yachts.
A wide beam and generous topsides resulted in an internal volume unheard of in 33ft yachts of the time. The cockpit, with wheel steering, is comfortable and secure. Access to the separate, spacious double aft cabin is via a companionway at the back of the cockpit. The side decks are wide and uncluttered and the recessed foredeck offers security when anchoring or working up front.
This particular example is reasonably well presented, and, on initial inspection appears to be structurally sound although a full survey would be needed to confirm this. It is below decks which are in need of some major cosmetic refurbishment. Her soft furnishings, headlinings, upholstery and curtains are all tired and in need of replacement.
She does, however, have a relatively new engine, about 10 years old, with relatively few hours of use, a big plus for a boat of this age.
Here we a have a quality boat, from the pen of a highly respected designer and built by a British builder with a reputation for quality, at a very attractive price. Yes she does need some work, but she is a Moody after all and therefore well worth the time, love and attention needed to return her to her former glory.
If you are looking for an early example of the highly regarded Moody 33 Mk1 and are looking for a project, this is definitely worthy of consideration.
