Originally sold as the Contessa 27, a replacement model for the Contessa 28, the moulds and design of the Contessa 27 were purchased by MG Yachts and thereafter sold as the MGC27. A fast, modern-styled small cruiser, they were built in both fin keel and lifting keel versions. They have an excellent reputation for sailing performance and handling.
Take all of these and couple with the facts that she comes loaded with cruising and laminate racing sails and has recently had her standing rigging replaced, she represents serious value. Even more so when you consider that, though currently set up for short-handed cruising, she is very easily and quickly set up as a club racer, with an extra pair of self-tailing winches and fantastic TackTick Race Master instruments.
Fantastic for a family for a few hours, a weekend or longer - even a race, this boat is versatile in every way - father and son, husband and wife - whichever way, she is perfect for easy sailing or tougher, more serious stuff!
