Commentaires du Broker
This classic Matthews 38 Sedan Trawler had her bottom refit in 1997 by Port Townsend Shipyard Co-op. Many planks were replaced or repaired as needed and re-fastened. She's been used and maintained regularly by her owner. In more recent years she's had quite a few interior upgrades to cabinetry and furnishings. It appears as a well-maintained vessel that could benefit from a new navigational electronics package and some modernization to the galley and maybe the head as well. The boat's price and overall condition should make it a must-see for wooden boat enthusiasts. Plus it has a very nice sailing dingy. Matthews built quality boats strong enough that the navy used some of them in WW II in anti-submarine warfare. Those still around today have endured because of that strength of build. Documents on board this boat take you back to when it was purchased new in 1946 for $14,000 with a $140 surcharge due to economic circumstances.
