Commentaires du Broker
This Hunter Legend 36 is a really well-regarded cruising yacht and this looks like a good, practical example that’s clearly been used and enjoyed on the West Coast. Designed by Glen Henderson, these boats are well known for their easy handling, generous cockpit space and surprisingly roomy interior for a 36-footer. The wheel steering and saildrive setup make her straightforward to manage, whether sailing short-handed or with family aboard.
The Volvo Penta MD2030 engine has done around 1,750 hours, which is pretty typical for her age, and with indirect cooling and sensible fuel consumption she should provide economical and reliable motoring. It’s also good to see upgrades like new batteries in 2022 and the rigging having been checked and serviced the same year, giving some reassurance on ongoing maintenance. The 2021 furling headsail is another nice plus, making sail handling easier and reducing the need for immediate investment.
She’s nicely set up on deck for cruising, with a practical cockpit layout, sprayhood (with refurbished windows), cockpit enclosure, and an electric windlass with remote for hassle-free anchoring.
Below decks, she offers exactly what you’d expect from a Legend—bright, airy accommodation with plenty of headroom and a very sociable layout. With up to 7 berths across two cabins and the saloon, plus heating, hot water and a proper galley setup, she’s well suited for extended cruising rather than just weekend use. Overall, she feels like a capable, comfortable cruiser that’s ready to get straight back out exploring the Clyde and beyond.
