Boatshed London are delighted to offer this Humber Barge for sale with London mooring in Greenland Dock, SE London.
Built in 1935, this barge has been recently refurbished in and out and has had circa £100k spent on the hull to fully overplate and make it ready for the next 50 years. The main living area and galley has a full length skylight and double height ceilings that make it into a brilliant entertaining space but is equally set up for cosy nights afloat with a multifuel stove and central heating. The whole space is bathed in light and it's a beautifully executed room.
There are two large double bedrooms, one with dressing room, as well as a mezzanine floor in the saloon. The wheelhouse doubles as a study with great views out across the marina. The bathroom off the saloon has a bath and separate shower compartment.
The residential mooring at Greenland Dock is fully transferable (10% transfer fee) and the marina is a very peaceful community with good transport links into central London. The river pier is 2 mins walk from the marina and Surrey Quays (10 mins) and Canada Water (20 mins) are both within walking distance. Current mooring fees are £10,000 per annum.
