The engine supllied is not correct for this boat. She would have been fitted with a Ford 100E engine with the drive coming directly from the front crankshaft pulley.
There were no gearboxes fitted so it was a case of turn the key and off you go!
This engine is ideal for a Freeman 22/23 or 24 as this was oringinal choice of engine for Freeman models.
Engine can be shown running as in video.
The ideal engine (other than the 100E original fitment) is a Beta 14 2 cyl diesel which will fit in the engine bay without having to cut out the bulkhead.
This engine also alows the gearbox supplied thith the Beta 14 to be fitted giving fwd, reverse and nuetral.

Comentario del broker
A superb little project boat built in 1958 from aircraft grade aluminium and flush riveted construction.
Everything is included to finish the project and there is a good trailer and engine included. (Though not the correct engine as originally fitted).
There is an extensive owners club and almost all parts are available from Albatross Marine who are still trading.
There is a fascinating history about these boats to be found detailing the succes they have in races which even today take place on Oulton Broad.
Undoubtedly a peice of British history with many famous owners.
i see this as an exiting low cost "project" which is easily stored and would make a very rewarding build.
Ideally a Ford 100E engine would be fitted to enhance value or it icould be the perfect base to power by electric without having to "chop around" the original structure.
Alternatively a the ideal engine (other than the 100E original fitment) is a Beta 14, 2 cyl diesel which will fit in the engine bay without having to cut out the bulkhead.
This engine also alows the gearbox supplied thith the Beta 14 to be fitted giving fwd, reverse and nuetral.
These boat details are subject to contract.
